Grant-making also funds activities that wouldn’t happen without grants, including supporting individuals and communities unable to pay for services, and causes or organisations that are less suitable for public fundraising or where fundraising or fees cannot cover the full costs.
Funders and charities exist in service of the same thing: communities, people, and the work that makes a difference to their lives. At a time when that work is under threat from so many forces, we’re calling on grant-makers to ask themselves one question: what could we do better?
