The Community Health and Wellbeing Fund will support community capacity building to help tackle health inequalities across Gloucestershire.

Community Health and Wellbeing Fund 2027

This grant invests in local communities to help organisations and groups create the conditions for healthy individuals and communities.  It will provide support for organisations’ core costs, helping local groups become more sustainable and strategic, adapting delivery over the longer term.

The funding aims to help organisations work in ways that are sustainable, collaborative and shaped by what local communities need; as well as providing the investment required to think differently about how support can be provided in neighbourhoods.

Who can apply?

Eligible applicants include:

  • voluntary and community organisations
  • registered charities
  • community interest companies
  • other not-for-profit groups working in Gloucestershire.

Your organisation must have been operating for at least one year, and you cannot apply for more than your organisation's annual turnover per year.

Up to three years of funding available, with annual grants of between £10,000 and £30,000.

Location: Countywide (available across all of Gloucestershire)

This year Gloucestershire County Council are partnering with us to run the Thriving Communities Grant Scheme through our platform.

Thriving Communities Grant 2027

The Thriving Communities Grant scheme supports organisations and groups in Gloucestershire with projects that help adults to stay well and live independently for as long as possible.

The funding helps connect people to their communities, strengthening ties, reducing isolation, and improving physical and mental wellbeing.

Who can apply?

  • Community or voluntary groups
  • Registered charities
  • Community Interest Companies (CIC)
  • Town and parish councils
  • Art, music, performance, nature-based and sports groups.
  • Faith-based groups (where the application demonstrates that the project will bring wider community benefit and the primary purpose of the activity is not religious)
  • Unincorporated associations
  • Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO)
  • Co-operative societies

From £500 up to a maximum of £7,500

Location: Cheltenham District, Cotswolds District, Forest of Dean District, Gloucester District, Stroud District, Tewkesbury District or County-wide
